New Delhi:The Delhi Secretariat building seems to have become one of the most crowded sites in the capital.
Daily, thousands of people reach outside the Secretariat, some in order to meet Chief Minister Kejriwal and some to protest over long-pending demands.
On Wednesday teachers employed on a contractual basis or as guest faculty in government schools protested outside the secretariat seeking permanent jobs.
Earlier the Aam Aadmi Pary had promised a permanent status to contractual employees in his election manifesto.
Around 300 guest teachers working in the Delhi Government schools raised slogans outside the Secretariat, ‘Finish contractual employment in Delhi', ‘Make us permanent'.
Kejriwal met the protesters and ought ten days' time to put in place a system to address their grievances.
