Kolkata: A constable of Kolkata police along with another person was arrested yesterday for allegedly taking bribe from a job aspirant by promising him a job in the police force, police said.
Mazhar Ali Khan, a constable of Kolkata police along with P Sinha was arrested after a youth named Raj Kumar Das filed a police compliant accusing Ali of demanding bribe of four lakh rupees in the lieu of giving Das a job in Kolkata police.
According to Das, he had already given rupees three lakh 94 thousand to Ali.
Later on when Das understood that he has been ditched, he filed a police complaint last week. Ali and his associate was arrested this morning.
