Mumbai: Underworld don and Dawood Ibrahim's key lieutenant Chhota Shakeel has finally revealed why D comapny is so hell bent on killing their one time associate Chhota Rajan even after 25 years since they parted ways.

In an interview to Times Of India, Shakeel said that Rajan had killed six of the accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts cases between 1998-2001,something which, the former had not been able to come to terms with.

Shakeel went into describing the genesis of their two decade old conflict that often turned bloody. He termed the six slain men, who were killed while they were out on bail, as innocent.

Among those murdered, was Yakub Yeda's brother Majid Khan—both considered to be very close to the don. Rajan, one by one, used his shooters to eliminate them in Dongri and other areas, Shakeel said, adding that he had been helped by men from a law enforcement agency as well.

Shakeel says due to these killings, Rajan has already been sentenced to death in D Company's court and will be executed soon. "Hamaare court mein maut ki saza ho chuki hai usko. Wo hum denge. Jald mauqa milega...inshallah," said Shakeel.

Salim Kurla was the first accused to be killed on April 21, 1998 in Bellevue Nursing Home at Andheri. Kurla was accused of sending men to Pakistan for training.

After him Mohammad Jindran, a construction tycoon, was shot dead on June 29, 1998. Majid Khan, owner of M K Builders, another important figure in the construction industry, was eliminated by the Rajan gang on March 1, 1999. Majid Khan and his brother Yakub Khan alias Yakub Yeda were accused of having kept the RDX in a factory.

Therafter, Rajan bumped off Hanif Kadawala another accused who was also a film producer.

Shakeel had almost killed Rajan in Bangkok in 2000. Rajan, while trying to escape had fallen and broken his back. However, he made an escape from the hospital where he had been admitted. Rajan vowed revenge and went on a killing spree.

Foe Shakeel, its more about ego. Since Rajan and Shakeel, both were contemporaries in the D Gang and worked together. However, there was always this undercurrent between the two for supremacy.

While at first Dawood Ibrahim was seen siding with Rajan, that equation changed later on. The split with the D Gang had become imminent and the 1993 serial blasts at Mumbai became the reason for Rajan to walk out.
