Raipur: Four Naxals were today arrested in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Bastar division, police said.
Two of them were arrested by a joint contingent of Border Security Force and police from Kanhargaon village forests under Bande police station limits in Kanker district, 250 km from Raipur, Superintendent of Police R N Dash told PTI.
Shivaji, a member of platoon under Kasansure area committee of Naxals, and Arjun, a jan-militia commander, were keeping watch on the movement of security forces, Dash said, adding that two single-barrel muzzle-loading guns were recovered from their possession.
Shivaji was carrying a reward of Rs 2,000 on his head.
While Ayatu (27) and Laalu (21) were arrested from Purantarai village in Dantewada district. Ayatu was deputy commander of platoon 13 under the Bhairamgarh area committee of the Naxals, and carried a reward of Rs 3 lakh on his head.
