Chandigarh fixes Rs 2,000 for coronavirus test
The Chandigarh administration on Monday fixed Rs 2,000 for a COVID-19 test. A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting between Chandigarh Advisor Manoj Parida and private SRL Diagnostics Laboratory, which is authorized to test corona cases in the city.
The upper limit of Rs 2,000 was fixed for every test, as compared to the existing rate of Rs 4,500, government statement said.
At present, many states are charging Rs 2,400 for such test.
