Mumbai: The CBI today opposed former media baron Peter Mukerjea's bail plea in Sheena Bora murder case on the ground that he was part of the murder conspiracy and had concealed information about the victim's disappearance from his son and Sheena's fiance Rahul.

"Peter was in touch with prime accused and his wife Indrani Mukerjea from the day of Sheena's murder (April 24, 2012) and till her body was disposed the next day," the CBI said in its reply on the bail application of Peter, who was arrested in the case on in November last year.

"He was also part of the conspiracy and had concealed the fact (about Sheena'a death) from his son Rahul Mukerjea," the central investigative agency said.

The central agency also informed the court that certain important documents (including that of financial transactions in the case) are under its scrutiny and the investigation was still going on.

Special CBI judge H S Mahajan adjourned the hearing on Peter's bail application till January 30.

Meanwhile, Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai were today produced in the court, where Indrani's daughter Vidhie (with Sanjeev Khanna), relatives of Khanna and brother and other relatives of Peter were present.

CBI is likely to file its reply on the bail application filed by Indrani's fromer husband Sanjeev Khanna, filed through his lawyer Shreyansh Mithare, on January 30.

The court also directed the CBI to file its reply on Indrani's application seeking her medical reports from the state-run J J hospital.

In his bail application filed though his lawyer Kushal Mor, Peter Mukerjea had said that CBI had found no evidence to justify his arrest, although it had his custody for 11 days and even subjected him to psycho-analysis and polygraph tests.

Peter had also dismissed the charge that he misled his son Rahul (with whom Sheena had a romantic relationship) about her whereabouts after her "disappearance".

The bail application also said that Peter was in the UK from April 23 to 26, 2012, with Vidhie (Indrani's daughter from marriage with Khanna), the application says, adding that mere phone calls between him and Indrani in this period do not suggest conspiracy.

Sheena Bora (24), daughter of prime accused Indrani Mukerjea from earlier relationship, was murdered allegedly by her, Sanjeev Khanna and Shyamvar Rai on April 24, 2012.

Peter, 59, husband of Indrani, was arrested on November 19 for his alleged role in the murder case and was in CBI custody.

He has been kept at the high-security Arthur Road Jail here, where other two accused in the case Sanjeev Khanna and Shyamvar Rai are also lodged.

CBI, while maintaining that financial transaction was the motive behind the murder of Sheena, had earlier said that Peter, during his interrogation, disclosed investments of crores of rupees made by him and Indrani and is expecting information from Interpol on the details of an account opened by Indrani in a bank in Hong Kong.
