New Delhi: CBI chief Ranjit Sinha has denied any favour granted by him to ADAG group company Reliance Telecom, an accused in 2G scam, although he has accepted the fact that he met ADAG officials.
"I have met officials of Reliance but have I shown favour to anyone?" Sinha reportedly told a news channel.
The issue of Ranjit Sinha's meeting with ADAG officials was raised by AAP leader Prashant Bhushan in the Supreme Court on Monday. Citing the visitors' diary purportedly maintained at the CBI chief's official residence Bhushan said that Sinha hosted officials of the Anil Ambani-promoted group about 50 times.
Ranjit Sinha's lawyer Vikas Singh had on Monday dismissed Bhushan's charge as an attempt to damage CBI's credibility.
