Patna, Jul 19: The police yesterday raided the premises of two state government officials here and recovered properties worth over Rs 3.45 crore which were disproportionate to their known sources of income.
Additional Director General of Police Ravinder Kumar said the Economic Offence Unit of Bihar police raided the premises of Umashankar Ram, director National Employment Programme, Motihari, and recovered cash and properties worth Rs 1.55 crore.
In another case, raids were conducted at the premises of Amarnath Mahto, an Executive Engineer in state Power Board and seized cash and properties worth over Rs 1.90 crore, the ADG said.
