Cameron, during his stopover in the city, held a meeting with Banerjee at the British Deputy High Commission. The meeting was also attended by state Finance Minister Amit Mitra, among others.



"There is significant scope for collaboration with the British government in the fields of education, culture, tourism, skill development, manufacturing industries, river-front development and so on," said Banerjee.

"He (Cameron) invited me to visit his country and I am indeed very happy," said Banerjee, who presented Cameron a book she has written, an embroidered kurta-pyjama set and dokra handicrafts.
