    Health condition of at least 19 children undergoing treatment at the paediatric ward of the Neemuch district hospital in Madhya Pradesh deteriorated on Saturday after they were administered antibiotic injections, their family members said.

    Officials said at night that the health condition of the children was normal. An investigation is launched, they added.

    Two dead, one injured as car plunges into Chenab river in J&K’s Doda

    Two persons, including a girl, were killed and another injured when their car skidded off the road and plunged into Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Saturday, police said. The accident took place near Garsoo village around 1.45 pm when the trio were travelling to their Drabshala village in Kishtwar district, they said. A rescue operation was launched immediately after the car rolled down over 200 feet before hitting the riverbed, police said.

    Article 370 can be restored only by Govt of India: Azad

    Asserting that Article 370 can only be restored by the Government of India, the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad, took a dig at the National Conference (NC) and the Congress over the "restoration of statehood" of Jammu and Kashmir.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have already committed to restoring the statehood, he said. Azad said that people are enthusiastic as they are participating in elections after ten years.

    A 60-year-old man was arrested in Assam's Lakhimpur district for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl, police said on Saturday. The incident happened in the Harmati area on Friday evening, they said. "The accused allegedly raped the minor in his shop. We are ascertaining the details of the case," a police officer said.

    The Veppadai police in Namakkal district on Saturday registered cases including attempt to murder, assault, and endangering public life, against six suspects of the brazen ATM heist in Kerala’s Thrissur district, a senior police official said. One of the six persons detained by the police, following a dramatic chase at Kumarapalayam on Friday, is undergoing treatment at the Coimbatore government hospital for injuries he sustained when the police opened fire in self-defence after he attacked. The seventh person in the gang, the container truck driver, was gunned down by the police when he assaulted a police official and fled.

    Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on the Hindenburg report and the Manipur violence, as he hit back at the latter, for raising the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case against him, to target the Congress during poll campaign in Haryana. Alleging that there are many corrupt people in the BJP, he asked the prime minister to correct things within his party first. "There are many corrupt people in his party (BJP). Let him correct it first. Why doesn't Narendra Modi speak about Hindenburg (report)? on Manipur? Why hasn't he visited Manipur? Rahul Gandhi (Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha) has raised these issues. Why don't he speak on that?" Siddaramaiah asked in response to a question by reporters.

    A student of Himachal Pradesh University died after allegedly falling from the third floor of the hostel here, police said on Saturday. The incident occurred on late Friday when Akhil, a first year law student hailing from Kinnaur district, fell from the hostel in Shimla's Summer Hill and was injured, they said.     Firing at car showroom in Delhi, no one hurt

    Three unidentified assailants opened fire at a second-hand luxury car showroom in west Delhi's Naraina area on Friday evening, police said. While no one was injured in the incident, several luxury cars were damaged.
