    Bihar: 7 police personnel suspended for taking bribes from trucks transporting illegally-mined sand

    Seven policemen were suspended in Bihar's Saran district on Saturday for allegedly taking bribes from trucks transporting illegally-mined sand, officials said. These policemen were posted at the Doriganj police station and among them was the station house officer (SHO). Twelve other personnel of the police station were sent to the police lines, and explanations were sought from them as to why no disciplinary action should be initiated on charges of dereliction of duty, officials said. The action was taken against the police personnel after an investigation found the allegations to be true, a statement said.

He launched the MetroConnect3 app designed to enhance the travel experience for commuters and also unveiled a coffee table book containing spectacular photos of the underground metro journey.

    CBI files third charge sheet in NEET-UG exam paper 'leak' case

    The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a third charge sheet in connection with the alleged leak of the NEET-UG exam paper, officials said on Saturday. In the charge sheet submitted to a special CBI court in Patna, the CBI has named 21 individuals as accused. The agency has alleged that trunks containing NEET-UG 2024 question papers were delivered to the Oasis School in Hazaribagh and stored in a control room on the morning of May 5. Shortly after the trunks' arrival, Principal Ahsanul Haque and Vice Principal Imtiaz Alam permitted Pankaj Kumar, the mastermind, to access the control room where the trunks were kept, the CBI has alleged.
