    RBI adds more entities in 'Alert List' of unauthorised forex trading platforms

    The Reserve Bank on Tuesday updated the 'Alert List' of unauthorised forex trading platforms by adding 13 more entities, including TDFX and Inefex, taking the total to 88.

    The Alert List contains names of entities which are neither authorised to deal in forex under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA) nor authorised to operate electronic trading platform (ETP) for forex transactions under the Electronic Trading Platforms (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2018.

    Based on the Madhya Pradesh High Court's direction, a man accused of raising a pro-Pakistan slogan, reached a police station here on Tuesday and saluted the national flag 21 times by raising 'Bharat Mata ki jai' slogan.

    The man, Faizan, was directed by the high court last week to salute the tricolour and raise the 'Bharat Mata ki jai' slogan on every first and fourth Tuesday of the month at the Misrod police station here.

    China confirms agreement to end standoff in eastern Ladakh

    China on Tuesday confirmed that it has reached an agreement with India to end the standoff between the two armies in eastern Ladakh. “Over a recent period, China and India have been in close communication through diplomatic and military channels on issues related to the China-India border,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian told a media briefing here.

    Nomination process for second phase of Jharkhand polls begins

    The nomination process for 38 assembly constituencies in Jharkhand where elections will be held on November 20 commenced on Tuesday with the issuance of the notification for the second phase of polls in the state.

    The nomination process will continue until October 29, with submissions accepted from 11 am to 3 pm. Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases - November 13 and 20, with counting scheduled for November 23.

    Bomb threats received for 30 flights

    As many as 30 domestic and international flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats on Monday night, according to sources. The flights of IndiGo, Vistara and Air India were among those that received the bomb threats, the sources in the know said.

    An IndiGo spokesperson on Tuesday said four of its flights on Monday received security-related alerts. They are 6E 164 (Mangaluru to Mumbai), 6E 75, (Ahmedabad to Jeddah), 6E 67 (Hyderabad to Jeddah) and 6E 118 (Lucknow to Pune).

    5 dead in shooting at Washington state home with teen in custody, police say

    Law enforcement officials found five people killed in a shooting inside a home southeast of Seattle on Monday morning and took a teenager into custody, police said.

    Multiple people called 911 around 5 am to report a shooting in Fall City, Washington, King County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Mike Mellis said at a media briefing Monday afternoon.
