    The health condition of junior doctor Aniket Mahato, who was hospitalised because of deteriorating health due to a fast he began on Sunday, is "critical but stable," RG Kar hospital sources said. Aniket has started responding to treatment, a member of the five-doctor team monitoring him in the critical care unit (CCU) of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital said on Friday. He was admitted to the state-run hospital on Thursday night.

    A live cockroach measuring 3 centimetres was successfully removed from the small intestine of a 23-year-old man at a private hospital in Delhi, officials said on Friday.     Aviation regulator DGCA will conduct a thorough examination of the Air India Express plane that suffered a hydraulic failure while operating a flight from Trichy to Sharjah on Friday to ascertain the cause of the glitch.     Air India Express flight to Sharjah lands in Trichy after facing hydraulic failure, passengers safe

     An Air India Express flight from Trichy to Sharjah landed safely after facing a technical problem (Hydraulic failure) at the Trichy airport. Ahead of its landing, Airport Director Gopalakrishnan said more than 20 Ambulances and fire tenders were at the spot to make sure no big accident occurs during the landing of the aircraft. Gopalakrishnan added that precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of passengers and prevent any serious accident during landing.

    The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Friday submitted a memorandum to Delhi University’s vice chancellor (VC) to file a review petition regarding the counting of votes in DUSU elections, a statement said. A delegation of the ABVP submitted the memorandum to the VC on the Delhi High Court's decision to stay the counting of votes in the Delhi University Students' Union elections, demanding to start the pending counting through a special leave petition or other legal options and release the results soon, it said.

    The 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow in Civil Lines was formally allotted to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Friday, two days after she was allegedly forcibly made to vacate it, officials said. An offer letter issued by the public works department (PWD) said the bungalow in Civil Lines has been formally allotted to Atishi, after completing the due process of handover and preparation of inventory.
