    Residents in Delhi’s Geeta Colony took to the streets after arriving at artificial ghats prepared for Chhath Puja, only to find them dry and without water. The lack of water disrupted the traditional offering of ‘Arghya’ to the setting sun, a key ritual in the puja.

    “There is no water for us to complete the Chhath Puja. The sun is setting and our time to offer the ‘Arghya’ is slipping away,” lamented a devotee. “They could have informed us earlier; we would have managed by filling tubs on our rooftops. This feels like an insult,” she added, expressing frustration. Locals also complained that attempts to reach the local MLA for assistance were unsuccessful, as his phone was reportedly switched off.
