    Assam: Grenade blast near army camp, none injured

    A grenade explosion took place outside the gates of an army camp in Tinsukia district of Assam on Wednesday, police said. However, there was no report of any casualties at the moment, a police officer said. The blast took place in front of the gates of an army camp at Dirak in the evening, he said.

    Odisha: Two mowed down by car while waiting for bus

    Two persons died after being run over by a speeding car while they were waiting to catch a bus in Odisha's Ganjam district on Wednesday, police said. One person was also injured in the incident that took place near Podamari bus stand in Pattapur police station area early in the morning. The deceased were identified as Niru Mohanty (40) from Jagannathpur and Simanchal Pradhan (55), a resident of Podamari.
