    Delhi Metro closes down six metro stations after reports of violence from west Delhi

    Delhi Metro has shut down six metro stations, namely Nangloi, Surajmal Stadium, Badarpur, Tughlakabad, Uttam Nagar west and Nawada. India TV has received phone calls from residents of some of these localities claiming some disturbance from these areas.

    However, Delhi Police has categorically denied these reports.

    Fire breaks out on second floor of Azad Bhawan at ITO

    A fire broke out on the second floor of Azad Bhawan at ITO on Sunday, a Delhi Fire Service official said. No injury was reported, he said.

    According to the fire department, a call about the blaze was received at 3.53 pm after which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The official suspect that a short circuit triggered the fire in the building. The blaze was brought under control by 4.05 pm, he added.

    LeT associate arrested in J&K

    Security forces have arrested an associate of a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant who was killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district in November last year, police said on Sunday.

    During an investigation of the case pertaining to operation Kullan in which one LeT militant was killed on November 12, 2019, it has been revealed that two militants were brought to Ganderbal district by Fayaz Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Akhal area of Kangan, a police official said.

    US reports first death from coronavirus

    The United States on Saturday reported the first death from Coronavirus, local media reported citing the Health Department. The health authority said in a press release that more cases of the infection were detected in King Country, in addition to two cass that were confirmed on Friday, according to Seattle-based KIRO-TV channel.
