A scuffle broke out at a film theatre in Nashik after some women who arrived to watch 'The Kashmir Files', wearing saffron stoles,were allegedly made to remove the same before entering the hall. Police say "There was a brawl that later ended. It's peaceful now".

A woman said, "The women had joined a group that was helping them watch 'The Kashmir Files'. The group had no badge or anything of that sort, so they provided them with saffron stoles for their identification as part of the group. There was nothing else behind it."

Sindhi-American activist Fatima Gul on Tuesday highlighted the plight of Sindhi people in Pakistan and said there is no value of minority communities in the country as anyone can violate their rights, especially women. "Anyone can abduct us, rape us, and violate our rights. An Air Vice Marshal from the Air Force headquarters is carrying out a detailed investigation into the accidental firing of the tactical BrahMos supersonic cruise missile which landed in Pakistan on March 9. With 1,778 new coronavirus infections, India's total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 4,30,12,749, while the number of active cases declined by over 800 to 23,087, according to the government data updated on Wednesday. The death toll has climbed to 5,16,605 with 62 new fatalities being reported in the last 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am showed.

At least eleven people were killed after a fire broke out in a scrap shop in Hyderabad's Bhoiguda on Wednesday. As per Gandhi Nagar Station House Officer (SHO) Mohan Rao, out of the 12 people, one person survived. "A total of 12 members were inside the scrap shop. Bodies of 11 labourers have been shifted to Gandhi hospital," he said.

An FIR has been filed in New Delhi against a man, who was convicted in an acid attack case several years ago, for threatening to throw acid on the same victim and her family members, said Delhi Police. The case has been registered against a man for allegedly sexually exploiting and blackmailing his relative in December 2021 after threatening to throw acid on her, said local Police.

As petrol, diesel and cooking gas become more expensive, consumers in the national capital are worried that it will add to the cost of living and expressed fear that fuel prices will rise further. The central government on Tuesday hiked the prices of petrol and diesel prices by 80 paise a litre each while domestic cooking gas LPG rates were increased by Rs 50 per cylinder.
