    11 Relief trucks flagged off from Delhi for Uttarakhand, J&K

    Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Friday flagged off Indian Red Cross trucks carrying flood and cold relief supplies and medicines for the people of Jammu, Srinagar, Ladakh and Uttarakhand.

    "This will support vulnerable populations in the northern-most UTs for the winter season and provide flood relief to people of Uttarakhand," Mandaviya said in a tweet.

    Heavy rains in the recent past have left scores of people dead in Uttarakhand. Over 300 people were rescued by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) from the flood-affected areas of the state.

    Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has delivered the 200th gun bay door for Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet. Bengaluru-headquartered HAL said it has been supplying the aero-structure to Boeing for the last ten years.

    "HAL has a long-standing partnership with Boeing and we look forward to strengthening our association on military and civil programmes. We are prepared to collaborate with Boeing to boost manufacturing under the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and Make in India programmes," HAL CMD R Madhavan said.

    UP police SI booked for getting job on forged documents

    A police sub-inspector in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar has been booked for allegedly getting the job on forged documents, officials said Friday. Videsh Kumar who has been in the service for 10 years was currently posted at Budhana Police Station in the district, Circle Officer Sharad Chand Sharma said.

    According to a complaint, Kumar got the job in the police department by falsely declaring that he belonged to the scheduled caste category while he was in the backward classes category.
