A municipal corporator in Srinagar was arrested on Saturday on allegations of sexual harassment, outraging the modesty and online stalking of a woman, police said.

Three children lost their lives while four persons were injured on Saturday when a two-storey house collapsed following an explosion in the Loni area of this district, police said. The incident took place around 11.30 am near Roopnagar colony here. The house owner Shakeel had rented it out to one Sharik who allegedly ran the illegal firecracker unit, DCP (Rural) Vivek Chand Yadav said.

An employee of a private company here has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the embezzlement of Rs 85 crore, police said on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Hemant Trehan, a resident of Faridabad, who worked in the account section of the company, they said.
