    Man arrested for murdering business partner in Kota

    A 50-year-old man was arrested here for allegedly killing his business partner by smashing his head with a stone while he was asleep, police said on Tuesday. Accused Madanlal suspected Dhan Singh (35) of Prathvipura village of being in a relationship with a member of his family, and killed him as he was unhappy with it, they said.

    King Charles coronation to take place on May 6 next year

    The coronation of Britain’s King Charles III will take place at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6 next year, Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday. The 73-year-old monarch, who acceded to the throne on the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth II last month, will be officially bestowed with his crown and royal paraphernalia at the coronation ceremony to be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The palace said the King will be crowned alongside his wife, Queen Consort Camilla.

    Maharashtra: Man sentenced to life imprisonment for beating mother to death

    A court in Maharashtra's Jalna district on Tuesday sentenced a 30-year-old man to life imprisonment for beating his mother to death. District and session court judge V M Mohite convicted Sakhram Yadaji Shinde of charges under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

    Uttar Pradesh: 25 arrested in Gonda after violence over social media post

    Twenty-five people were arrested after a mob attacked the house of a man who allegedly posted communally sensitive remarks on social media, police said Tuesday. Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar said the violence erupted the previous night at Khargupur hamlet but it was under control now. A police team has been deployed to maintain peace, he said.

    Indian-origin Sikh family killing in California: Man charged with four counts of murder

    The man involved in the kidnapping and killing of an Indian-origin Sikh family, including an eight-month-old baby, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder, one for each life lost, authorities in California said. The Sikh family of four, 8-month-old Aroohi Dheri, her 27-year-old mother Jasleen Kaur, her 36-year-old father Jasdeep Singh, and her 39-year-old uncle Amandeep Singh were kidnapped and killed by a former disgruntled employee of their trucking company last week.
