    IndiGo orders 300 A320neo aircraft: Airbus

    IndiGo has placed a firm order for 300 A320neo Family aircraft with Airbus. 

    This latest IndiGo order comprises a mix of A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR aircraft. This will take IndiGo’s total number of A320neo Family aircraft orders to 730.

    “This order is an important milestone, as it reiterates our mission of strengthening air connectivity in India, which will, in turn, boost economic growth and mobility.     Air quality plunges to 'severe' category in several parts of Delhi

    New Delhi: The skies over the national capital were a smoky grey on Tuesday as the sun struggled to shine through the haze with the air quality deteriorating and slipping into the "severe" category in several places in the city.

    At 12.30 pm, the city’s overall air quality index was 390 -- marginally better than Monday's high of 397 at 8 pm -- according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

    Pollution levels in the satellite towns of Ghaziabad (429), Greater Noida (418), and Noida (427) were worse.

    An AQI between 0-50 is considered “good”, 51-100 “satisfactory”, 101-200 “moderate”, 201-300 “poor”, 301-400 “very poor”, and 401-500 “severe”. Above 500 is “severe-plus emergency” category.

    Farmer alerts damage to rail track on Mumbai-Hyderabad route

    The repair work on minor damage detected on the railway track between Potul and Lasur will slow down trains on the Mumbai-Nanded-Hyderabad route, PTI reported quoting a railway official. The repair work will affect normal rail traffic on busy Mumbai-Hyderabad route.

    A local farmer detected damage in the welding of the railway track and informed railway officials at Potul and Lasur stations in Maharahtra's Aurangabad district on Tuesday morning.
