The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Union Territory’s police to provide enhanced preferential banking services to its personnel and families of martyrs.

A man was arrested in Nagpur for allegedly killing his ailing, bedridden 50-year-old mother, a police official said on Friday.

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, the president of former prime minister Imran Khan’s party, was on Friday rearrested by the Islamabad police, hours after the Lahore High Court ordered his release in a graft case and explicitly directing the authorities not to take him in custody in any other case, a media report said on Friday.

"CRPF has trained 450 personnel as drivers and PSOs who will be part of the Closed Protection Team (CPT) with the heads of the states during the G20 summit. They will also drive bulletproof left-hand drive vehicles,"  CRPF official

"About 93 percent of Rs 2000 currency notes returned to banks while only Rs 0.24 lakh crore of such notes remains with public," said RBI on Friday.

Police here lodged an FIR against four people for allegedly threatening to kill BJP MP Dharmendra Kashyap’s relative, an official said on Friday. Advocate Jaipal Singh, a relative of Kashyap who is MP from Aonla constituency, was issued a death threat by some people.
