The Parliament on Monday approved a Bill to increase Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) limit in the insurance sector from 49 per cent to 74 per cent with the Lok Sabha passing the proposed law by a voice vote.

Doctors at a private hospital removed a 16-kg tumour from the abdomen of a woman after a 6-hour-long surgery in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Hospital Manager Devendra Chandolia said, "Chances of her survival would have diminished if it was not removed in time. She is out of danger."
