The national capital Saturday reported six rain-related deaths, taking to 11 the toll in the first two days since Monsoon hit the city, even as authorities said they have taken strong measures to prevent waterlogging in the coming days when heavy rains have been forecast.

The Civil Aviation Ministry said," The flights scheduled for Delhi Airport Terminal 1 have been shifted to Terminal 2 and 3. Operations have started from Terminals 2 and 3 of Delhi Airport from today. After the accident at Delhi Airport Terminal 1, operations from T1 are completely closed. Now for a few more days, scheduled flights from Delhi Airport Terminal 1 will be operated from T2 and T3. It will take a few more days for Delhi Airport Terminal 1 to be completely repaired."

Two school students drowned in a pond near their house at Echoor here on Saturday, police said. Echoor residents Aadhil Bin Mohammed (12) and Mohammed Misbul Amir (12) drowned in the pond at around 1 pm.

A class 9 student was arrested for allegedly stabbing his classmate at a school in Odisha’s Ganjam district, police said. The incident took place inside a classroom of Raghunath High School at Ramchandrapur in the district on Friday morning and the accused was arrested on Saturday, they said.

A brief exchange of fire was reported along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, official sources said on Saturday. The firing from across the border was reported on a forward Indian post in Krishna Ghati sector late Friday night, prompting retaliation by the army troops guarding the LoC, the sources said.

A defamation case has been filed against AAP minister Atishi. Rouse Avenue court has listed the matter for hearing on July 23.
