    An alleged criminal was detained under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district today. Ashraf Ali alias 'Shifu', a resident of Ramnagar, has become a threat to public peace and tranquillity, forcing the district magistrate to issue orders for his detention under the PSA, a police spokesperson said.

    Two killed, two injured in road accidents in Odisha’s Bhadrak

    Two persons, including a schoolboy, were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, police said.     Kashmir reels under cold wave conditions

    There was no relief from the intense dry and cold wave conditions in Kashmir on Wednesday as the minimum temperatures stayed several degrees below the freezing point, officials said. Anantnag town was the coldest place in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday night as the mercury plunged more than seven degrees below the freezing point, they said.

    'Very inspiring': Astrophysicist Karan Jani praises India for successful launch of XPoSat

    Man found dead at Salt Lake City airport after climbing inside jet engine

    A man was found dead inside an airplane engine at Salt Lake City International Airport after police say he breached an emergency exit door, walked onto the tarmac and climbed inside the jet's engine. Officers found 30-year-old Kyler Efinger, of Park City, unconscious inside an engine mounted to the wing of a commercial aircraft loaded with passengers, the Salt Lake City Police Department announced on Tuesday. The plane had been sitting on a de-icing pad, and its engines were rotating.
