Jharkhand Assembly session to be held on February 5 and 6 | HIGHLIGHTS

JMM and Congress MLAs have arrived at a private resort in Hyderabad, Telangana JMM's Champai Soren took oath as the CM of Jharkhand today. He will have to prove his majority in a floor test to be held in the next 10 days. 

In cabinet meeting today, it was decided that the session of the Jharkhand Assembly will be held on February 5 and February 6, the state government said.

Vinay Kumar Chaubey has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren.

While Jharkhand Congress and JMM MLAs leaving for Hyderabad from Ranchi Airport, Banna Gupta said, "You will witness our strength on the Floor (of the House)." JMM's Champai Soren has taken oath as Jharkhand CM after ED arrested Hemant Soren.

According to sources, MLAs of JMM-led alliance in Jharkhand have reached Ranchi airport to fly to Hyderabad, reported news agency PTI.

Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan met new CM of Jharkhand Champai Soren on Friday.

Rashtriya Janata Dal's (RJD) Satyanand Bhokta took oath as the Cabinet Minister of Jharkhand.

Senior Congress leader Alamgir Alam took the oath as the Cabinet Minister of Jharkhand.  

Champai Soren took oath as the CM of Jharkhand on Friday.

According to sources, two more ministers may take oath with Champai Soren.

JMM leader Manoj Pandey said, "39 MLAs are going to Hyderabad. All those who have to be present during the oath ceremony will be present."

Champai Soren left from governor's office in Ranchi to take oath as Jharkhand CM.

A few MLAs are  have reached Hyderabad from Ranchi.  

After meeting Shibu Soren, Jharkhand CM-designate Champai Soren says, "I came here to seek blessings of Guruji (Shibu Soren) and Mataji (Roopi Soren) before taking the oath. He is my idol. I had joined the Jharkhand movement and I am his disciple...I work with his principles of uplifting the people of the state. So, I came to seek the blessings of Dishom Guru." when asked when he will prove the majority, he said, "Very soon." 

Champai Soren is set to prove the majority and form government in Jharkhand on February 5. 

After swearing-in ceremony, all the MLAs will leave for Hyderabad.

Basant Soren to take oath as deputy CM. He is the younger son of Shibu Soren.

Hemnat Soren case to be heard at 10:30 AM. His arrest has been challenged in the Supreme Court. A bench of three judges will hear today.

Jharkhand CM-designate Champai Soren leaves from Circuit House in Ranchi to meet former CM and JMM national president Shibu Soren.

Ranchi: On Champai Soren taking oath as the CM of Jharkhand, state BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo says, "We do not see any change in the structure of Jharkhand or the situation of Jharkhand with Champai Soren taking over as chief minister shortly because our take is that Champai Soren will just be a puppet and the strings will be pulled by the Soren family."

Champai Soren is to take oath as the Jharkhand CM between 12 pm to 1 pm today.

The UCC Expert Committee constituted by the Uttarakhand Government under the chairmanship of Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai to prepare the draft of the Uniform Civil Code on May 27, 2022, will submit its draft report to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at 11 am today.
