    Over 4.4 crore Ayushman cards -- which enable free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh per anum per family at empanelled hospitals -- have been generated during the ongoing Ayushman Bhava campaign.     Jharkhand police on Friday said 397 Maoists were arrested, nine killed, and 26 surrendered before security forces across the state this year. A special area committee member, a regional committee member, five zonal commanders, and 11 sub-zonal commanders were among those arrested. These individuals had a combined bounty of Rs 1. 01 crore on their heads, a statement said.

    India records 797 new Covid cases

    India has logged 797 new cases of COVID-19, the highest in 225 days, while the number of active cases of the infection have been recorded at 4,091, the health ministry said on Friday. Five new fatalities due to Covid-- two from Kerala and one each from Maharashtra, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu -- have been reported in a span of 24 hours, according to the ministry's data updated at 8 am.
