    Kejriwal launches 24-hour water supply in Delhi's Rajinder Nagar

    Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched round-the-clock water supply in Pandav Nagar DDA flats in the Rajinder Nagar area here.

    "When we came to power 10 years ago in Delhi, around 50-60 per cent of water was supplied by tankers. There used to be tanker mafia. I am happy to say that today, after 10 years, 97 per cent of Delhi gets water by pipeline," the former chief minister said.

    Teen shot dead at birthday party in Patna

    A 16-year-old boy was shot dead by an unidentified person at a birthday party in Patna's Sri Krishna Puri area, police said on Tuesday. Talking to reporters on Tuesday, Sachiwalay-2 sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Saket Kumar said the incident took place at house no. 54 in Gandhi Nagar locality around 11:30 pm on Monday when a birthday party was going on.

    Jaipur tanker fire: Tanker driver appears before police, to be questioned by SIT

    The driver of an LPG tanker that was involved in an explosion here last week which claimed 13 lives has appeared before police and will be questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case, a senior official said on Tuesday.

    The driver, Jaiveer (40), a resident of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, managed to get out of the tanker in time after sensing the impact of the collision, which broke the tanker's outlet nozzles.

    Two found dead in parked caravan in Kerala: Police investigation underway

    Two people have been found dead in a caravan parked along the roadside near Vadakara town in this north Kerala district, police said on Tuesday. The bodies of the men, identified as Manoj, the driver of the caravan, and another person, Joel, were discovered in the caravan parked at Karimapanapalam on Monday evening.

    Pappu Yadav joins BPSC student protest

    Independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav joined the protest by BPSC candidates. The indefinite hunger strike of the students continues demanding re-examination of the 70th BPSC examination.

    During his visit, he said, “We would like all the opposition MPs and MLAs to also come here, people should sit outside the houses of ruling party MPs and MLAs all over Bihar…what is the politics in this…these people have been protesting for so many days. And their only demand is that the examinations should be re-conducted...”

    Navi Mumbai man accused of murdering wife arrested after 33 years

    The Navi Mumbai police have arrested a 70-year-old man absconding for the last 33 years after allegedly killing his wife, an official said on Tuesday. The accused, Babu Gudgiram Kale, was apprehended on Sunday near Mulund suburb in neighbouring Mumbai, where he had been working as a labourer and selling flowers for livelihood, he said.

    The case dates back to January 28, 1991, when Kale, following frequent domestic disputes with his wife, allegedly doused her with kerosene and set her on fire at his home in Panvel area of Navi Mumbai, Panvel Town police station's senior inspector Nitin Thackeray said.
