    Allahabad HC adjourns hearing in hate speech case of Azam Khan

    The Allahabad High Court Thursday adjourned until September 4 hearing in a criminal revision filed by senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan challenging the two-year jail awarded to him by a Rampur court in a hate speech case. Khan had allegedly delivered the hate speech in Rampur district during the Lok Sabha election of 2019 on April 8 against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and District Magistrate, Rampur.

    Man electrocuted on waterlogged road in Delhi's Rohini

     A 50-year-old man got electrocuted outside his house in Delhi’s Rohini area after coming in contact with electricity conducted through a waterlogged road on Thursday evening, police said.  The victim, identified as Sanjay, slipped into water which accumulated outside his house in Prem Nagar area and got electrocuted. A team rushed to the spot but he was already taken to hospital where doctors declared him dead, they said.

    In a tragic accident on Thursday morning, four people were killed and thirteen others injured when a tanker overturned onto a roadside tea stall following a head-on collision with a bus in Odisha's Ganjam district. The incident occurred on National Highway 59 at Samarjhola, near Hinjili.
