Pune police have found the CCTV footage of an autorickshaw stopping near the petrol pump opposite the German Bakery on February 13 some time before the blast took place.
The police officials are apprehensive that the suspects involved in the blast could have used the vehicle to reach the spot. They have been showing the footage to auto drivers in the city but in vain, reports DNA.The automen of Koregaon Park and Pune railway station area who saw the footage on Sunday, but could not identify it. On Monday, the representatives of different auto unions were called to identify the vehicle. But they failed to do so.
A rickshaw driver told DNA that the footage is blurred and hence the autorickshaw could not be identified. The police have refused to divulge details about the footage to the media.
"The police officers did not disclose the place where the auto stopped. But we assume that it stopped near the petrol pump and came from the direction of Bund Garden bridge," said the driver.
However, the police did not show them any other footage. The rickshaw driver told DNA, "After viewing the footage we discussed with mechanics and other drivers. But nothing has emerged."
