The BJP on Thursday appeared hesitant to withdraw support to Shibu Soren government in Jharkhand by taking appointments twice with Governor M O H Farooq and then cancelling them.
A delegation of party MLAs were to call on the Governor at 11:00 am, which was postponed to 7:00 pm and thereafter cancelled.
"As our discussions over the sensitive issue remain inconclusive, our delegation could not meet the Governor for a second time," BJP's state unit General Secretary Ganesh Mishra told PTI here.
Mishra said he personally went to the Raj Bhavan to call off the 7:00 pm appointment.
He said that after Hemant Soren's apology for his father Chief Minister Shibu Soren voting for the UPA on a cut motion and request for a review on BJP's decision to withdraw support, it was all the more important for a thorough discussion.
He, however, said he had no knowledge of reports that JMM has sent a second letter to BJP. "I don't know about that."
The Raj Bhavan told the BJP leaders that they should not repeat the cancellation if they sought appointment with the Governor for a third time, Raj Bhavan sources said. PTI
