New Delhi : Launching an attack on Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit over corruption during her regime, BJP's chief ministerial nominee Harsh Vardhan yesterday said she should take moral responsibility and resign.
The Delhi government had indulged in corruption of more than Rs 7,000 crore in the Commonwealth Games. Institutions like CAG, CBI, CVC, CPWD and High Court have confirmed it. In spite of this, neither the central government had ordered any inquiry nor the Chief Minister was ready for a probe, he said.
“If the Chief Minister has any sense of morality and respect for the Constitution, then she should resign from her post and renounce politics,”Harsh Vardhan said in a statement.
Terming the distribution of provisional certificates for regularisation of unauthorised colonies as “lollypop”, the BJP leader said, “In the last Assembly elections, the Congress government distributed lollypop of provisional certificates to 50 lakh residents of unauthorised colonies, but not a signal colony has been regularised till date.”
