Bhabhua, Jul 31: Six policemen, including IG (Patna Zone) B Srinivasan and DIG (Sahabad) range Sushil Khopade, were injured when their vehicle turned turtle at Bhusouli in Bihar's Kaiur district in the wee hours today, officials said.
The mishap occurred at around 2.30 AM when Srinivasan and Khopade, with a posse of policemen, were going to Nauhatta in Rohtas district where Maoists had killed five Kharwar tribals last night, police said, adding the vehicle turned over after the driver lost control over it.
The two senior police officials were on their way to Nauhatta village to oversee the combing operation against the Maoists following a directive by DGP Neelmani.
Srinivasan and Khopade were first taken to a hospital at Mohania and then referred to Patna Medical College Hospital,police said. PTI
