Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Apr 7 : Dreaded Maoist activist Shyam Charan Tudu, 26, working in a factory in Coimbatore was arrested early this morning by a West Bengal police team led by a DSP, in connection with the heinous massacre of 24 paramilitary personnel in Silda, that took place in 2010.
A team of ten policemen led by DSP Vivek Kumar Verma nabbed Tudu in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Tudu was earlier arrested by the West Bengal police in 2011, but he had came out on bail.
Since then he was absconding and had settled in Coimbatore last year
Tudu also had a role in the killing of CPI(Maoist) politburo member Kishenji alias Koteswara Rao in Jhargram region, police said.
