Bhopal, Apr 11: Union Railway Minister Pavan Kumar Bansal will honour Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Bhopal) Mandeep Singh Bhatia and other railway officials in a function in Mumbai on April 16 recognising their exemplary services.
Bhatia and a dozen other railway employees of West Central Railway (WCR) will be honoured by the Railway Minister for their excellent work in their respective departments, sources said today.
Among those who will be honoured on the occasion are Gulabganj Station's Senior Supervisor late Bhagwan Das and injured Assistant Station Master Sanket Bansal.
Das lost his life and Bansal was seriously injured recently when a mob set afire the Gulabganj station in protest against the incident of a train running over two kids on February 26.
The Railway Minister will also present the Security and Civil Engineering Shield to WCR on the occasion.
