Bamgalore: Bangalore city police commissioner MN Reddi is one of the most tech savvy officers of the country and has used social media to the fullest to listen to the problems of the citizens and work on them accordingly. In doing so he has amassed over 50,000 followers on Twitter.
On February 5, MN Reddi wrote on his Twitter handle after reaching the milestone of 50k followers, “On the occasion of our Twitter group crossing 50K mark, I congratulate all of you! May the group grow and may people n police grow closer!”
Since then, he has gained 7,000 more followers, reaching 57K followers.
Speaking to DNA, Reddi said that he assumed office in July 2014 and he has encouraged the citizens of Bangalore to make full use of social network since then. He said that he receives many complaints on his Twitter handle and takes instant action without any delay.
Reddi said that many of the complaints he receives are the ones that people face on daily basis. Even senior citizens send him all sorts of complaints. He said that most of the problems are addressed within a few hours.
