Bangalore: A Bangalore couple, Siddalingaswamy and Manjula, poisoned their eight-month-old daughter Harshini and then made a suicide attempt.
The baby died, while the couple were found unconscious, are critical and undergoing treatment in the ICU.
The couple resides in Kaverinagar area of Kamakshipalya. The incident came to light when neighbours noticed the smell of decomposed body from the house on Monday night.
Local residents said, the couple killed the baby as they were depressed over the death of their first daughter Hamsini.
Their elder daughter Hamsini died due to a lung disease four months ago. The couple was depressed as they could not get good treatment for their daughter.
