Bangalore: Two girls were slapped and kicked outside Adugodi police station in Bangalore by three boys on Wednesday morning.
The girls were going to an old age home to distribute rice and fruits. At a traffic crossing their car was hit by a Canter and the boys were standing at the junction.
The girls entered into an argument with the Canter driver and the three boys intervened in the quarrel, slapping, kicking the girls in their stomach.
Two traffic cops were witnesses to the entire episode but they did not try to stop the boys from attacking girls because all three boys were the sons of two lower-rung policemen.
Later the family members of the girls rushed to the place to rescue them from the attackers and the attackers abused them too.
The attackers have been identified as Chandan Patel and Chakravarthi Patel, sons of ASI Lakanna Patel and Nayana , son of Dharmendra, a head constable with City Armed Reserve.
The cops even did not pay any attention when the girls reached the police station to file an FIR against the boys.
Later the girl's father contacted the top police brass after which an FIR was registered. All the three boys have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody on charges of assaulting and outraging a woman's modesty.
