Bangaore: Two girls were slapped and kicked outside Adugodi police station in Bangalore by three boys on Wednesday morning.

Two traffic cops were witnesses to the entire episode but they did not try to stop the boys from attacking girls because all three boys were the sons of  two lower-rung policemen.

Both the policemen were suspended on Thursday after the girls identified the policemen as ASI Shriramappa and constable Munithimappa.

According to the victim's complaint, ASI Shriramappa reportedly shielded the boys when one of the girl's father charged at the boys in the station. Munithimmaiah was the constable who stood by and did nothing at the traffic junction, when the girls were being abused, slapped and kicked on the main road in broad daylight.
