Guwahati: A woman doctor was found killed with her neck slit in the Intensive Care Unit of a medical college in Assam Friday, police said.
Sensation gripped Assam Medical College (AMC) in Dibrugarh town after Sarita Tashniwal's body was discovered lying in a pool of blood under mysterious circumstances.
Police arrested a ward boy in connection with the case and a probe is on.
Sarita, who hails from neighbouring Sivsagar district, was a first-year post-graduate student of the gynaecology department, AMC officials said. She was on night duty since Thursday evening in the ICU, they said.
