Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh High Court yesterday granted permission to YSR Congress Party to hold a public meeting in support of the united Andhra Pradesh at L B Stadium here on October 19.
The High Court allowed the petition filed by YSR Congress challenging police's decision but said no provocative speeches should be made and organisers must abide by the conditions imposed by the police.
The rally would be held between 2 pm to 5 pm, said the High Court.
Hyderabad police had refused permission for the meeting and YSRCP general secretary K Siva Kumar had challenged the decision before the High court.
The police had cited possible law and order problems (in view of the ongoing agitation in Seemandhra districts) as the reason for denying permission.
