Allotment of AIS officers to the two states will be based on the guidelines drafted by the Pratyush Sinha Committee, appointed by the centre.

Chandrababu also reportedly discussed the appointment of a new chief secretary to the AP government, as Mohanty will be relinquishing office on May 31.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu is expected to function as chief minister from the Acharya Nagarjuna University campus between Vijayawada and Guntur.

Two newly-constructed blocks on the ANU campus will be used as the chief minister's office and other official departments, government sources said.

Though five blocks in the existing secretariat in Hyderabad have been allotted to residual AP, Chandrababu is disinclined to function from there.
