Vijayawada, May 5: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy inaugurated two lift irrigation projects at Ramannapet village on the banks of Krishna river in the Krishna district on Sunday.
These two irrigation projects were constructed by Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Development Corporation (APIIDC) at a cost of Rs 49.37 crore to provide irrigation water for about 10,000 acres of land in Gudimetla and Turlalpadu villages in Chandarlapadu mandal.
He also laid foundation stones for three more lift irrigation projects to be constructed by APIIDC at a cost of Rs 54.15 crore.
All these lift irrigation projects provide irrigation water for lands in about ten villages on the banks of river Krishna.
