New Delhi: Dairy major Amul has increased milk prices in the Delhi-NCR region by Rs 2 a litre from today due to increase in cost of milk production.
It is also considering raising prices in other parts of the country.
"In recent past, there has been a substantial increase in raw material cost of cattle feed and labour costs, and this has led to increase in cost of milk production," Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells milk under brand Amul, said.
"We have increased the milk prices by Rs 2 litre across all variants in Delhi-NCR region," GCMMF managing director R S Sodhi told PTI.
