Ambala, Jul 5: Himanshu, a B. Tech. Civil student of Surya World Engineering College succumbed to injuries on Tuesday night at Chandigarh PGI, after he was hit by stones by a rival group at the college campus here.
The clash occured after the second year students on returning from a party found that their beds have been ransacked and the mattresses taken away by a rival group.
After the college administration failed to act, the students called in their guardians. The rival student group then began stoning the students in which six were injured, out of whom two were taken to PGI Chandigarh.
Ambala police is investigating the matter.
