Rooted on the Gopeshwar-Ukhimath Road, Chopta is is located at an elevation of 2680 mts above above sea level. It is one of the most scenic and photographic spots in the entire Garhwal region, and offers astonishing view of the Himalayan ranges and surrounding areas. Chopta is rich in varied flora and fauna. It is located between thick forest of pine, deodar and rhododendron.
