A mail received from ActionAid India said: "We are very concerned that this article may cause confusion among our supporters and well wishers and put some of our work with the poor and marginalised communities at risk."
The Congress workers also protested against another scam involving supply of spurious pediatric emergency medicines by a supplier to the state health department.
According to Dr Sinha, “The government even after receiving report that the pediatric emergency medicine amikacin supplied by a sudden medicine supplier is spurious waited for around a week before an order was passed out to the CMO's to stop it use and by that time 80 percent of the stock was completed.”
He alleged that it is a criminal offence of negligence on part of the government since inspite of knowing the fact that the medicine being used in severely infected children is spurious but allowed its use for a week.
Dr Sinha expressed his fear that the highest official of the state who are involved in the purchase and advisory committee of medicines and so if an investigation is done by any state committee then there is every possibility that it will not be a fair investigation.
