Times of India reported that Palekar, who handled Modi's all business affairs, was paid an annual salary of Rs 45.60 lakh and operated eight email accounts.

Palekar told I-T officials that she had created eight email accounts to transact business of these companies.

In one account, deepaapalekar@modi.com, communications were found only after April 2010. The remaining accounts had no mails.

The lady deleted the mails as all work related to them were completed, according to I-T officials, adding that for some other accounts, she claimed the mails got deleted as the computer had a problem.

The registered office of all these companies was on 3rd floor, Nirlon House, AB Road, Worli, Mumbai.

The I-T had sought the books of accounts related to 10 Modi companies along with its related concerns. After examining computers seized from Palekar in 2010, it was found that no documents were available about business activities of these companies.

Report also said that Palekar tried to delete evidence of Modi and his group's companies.

Palekar, MA in Economics and an MBA, also held the post of director in nine of Modi's companies. She was director in Ananda Advisory Services Pvt Ltd and Ananda Developers Pvt Ltd along with seven others. In the 10th company - Integrated Technology Services Pvt Ltd - she was just an employee.
