Ahmedabad, Jun 28 : The body of a city-based builder with a bullet wound in head was found inside his Toyota Corolla car (GJ 1 HK 5256) in Anand Nagar area of the city on Monday night, police said.
The builder has been identified as Pankaj Bharwad and he had a gunshot wound on is head, they said. A pistol along with 16 bullets was found near the body.
Pankaj left his house at around 11 but when he didn't return to his home till late night his family started searching him.
They found the car in Anand Nagar area in which Pankaj's body was lying on the back seat. Local residents said the car was there since 2.00 PM.
Police said it appears to be a case of suicide; however, since the body was found in the backseat of the car, there is suspicion that there could be other causes as well.
Police is trying to resolve some disturbing questions:
- For committing suicide one or two bullets would have been sufficient. Why was Pankaj carrying 16 bullets with him?
- Why did Pankaj put a piece of cloth near his head when he shot himself?
- To shoot oneself on the rear seat of the car and that too in a residential area doesn't seem to be a case of suicide.
