Gandhinagar: Afghanistan's ambassador to India Shaida Mohammad Abdali today called on Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel and discussed investment opportunities in the mines sector in his country.
Abdali had talks with Patel about attracting investors from Gujarat and India to Afghanistan, particularly in mineral exploration, a state government release said.
He also said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's invitation to the leader of the SAARC countries at his swearing-in ceremony strengthened the mutual relationship.
Later Patel tweeted that she discussed cooperation in agro-food industry, health and tech education with the Afghanistan ambassador.
Later in the day, she also met Nigeria's High Commissioner Nadubuisi Amaku.
“Talked about higher education opportunities for the Nigerian students in Guj with High Commissioner,” she tweeted.
